Wine is always my first choice as beverages go, but with these crazy hot days we have been having, a cold beer can really hit the spot. So with that in mind, we are about to change gears with our wine tasting events and dip our toes in the beer barrel. At store locations around the state we have been holding craft beer tastings, and the first one that I will be involved with here in Jacksonville will be held at the end of this month. We normally have a table or two of beer at our regular wine events, but this tasting will be completely dedicated to our hoppily fermented friend. So all of you beer-geeks out there in the land of blog, stop by and try some cold, delicious summer treats.   

 Here's the scoop:

   The craft beer tasting will be on Thursday, August 31st, at the ABC Fine Wine & Spirits store located at 295 Royal Palm Drive, Atlantic Beach 32233. You will be able to taste over 50 different craft beers including frosty brewed samples from Shipyard, Cigar City Brewing, Twisted Pines, Geary’s, Magic Hat, Leinenkugels, Sea Dog, and many more. There will also be a number of local restaurants including the North Coast Bistro sampling some wonderful, beer friendly foods. All of this and more for just $10:00 dollars at the door, which will open at 6:00 and continue until 8:00. No reservations necessary to enjoy this terrific celebration of craft beers.
