The third and final night of GABF was upon us. One would not have guessed but this would be the most crowded night because of the announcing of the medals, and everyone would want to get a sip of those gold, silver and bronze masterpieces. We all arrived on the chilly night prepared to battle through the thirsty mob and get a few of the medalists while they were still available. My sight was like Terminator vision, feverishly scanning boards trying to find those prized beers on the lists. Many golds were already out and I settled for silvers and bronzes knowing they would still be very tasty. 

I do not remember all that I tried in the frenzy, but I was keen on sours and imperials. I was trying to pace myself to keep my poor palate from going numb again, but I knew if I dawdled I would miss precious opportunities. Again, I accidentally separated myself from the group but I never looked back. I snaked my way between conversing groups, toasting their plastic souvenir portion cups, laughing and carrying on.  Brewers were pouring pitchers of freshly tapped brews to a blur of outstretched hands. At one point, I just went into full-on tasting mode and darted from table to table trying everything that appealed to me. 

I met up with the group again, and we found a cupcake vendor called GiGi’s Cupcakes with some delicious varieties that hit the spot after all of the tasting. We spent some time talking to the friendly staff of Clown Shoes Brewing and Uinta Brewing, enjoying all they had to contribute. By the end, I was satisfied with my sampling and very grateful I was able to partake in this amazing experience. I would like to thank Jeremy Fulmore, Chris Larue, Hannah Grantz, Meghan Guarino and Bob Ware for showing me a great and very memorable time!
