Blogging From Napa
Blogging today from beautiful Napa Valley...so far we have experienced a few days of wonderful wines and, of course, mouthwatering cuisine. We arrived Monday afternoon, hit the ground running with a meeting at Cosentino Winery that lasted just about 'till our reservation at Press restaurant. Dinner was awesome and the wines were, too! Massican Sauvignon Blanc with a starter of...get this...a variety of local bacon!
Ramey Carneros Chardonnay with some prawns, then a Pittsburg style rib eye with El Molino Rutherford Pinot, and both Ladera Howell Mt and Shafer Cabernets. We are staying up in the Napa mountains at Garrett Arnfelds (from G- the 7th Letter) and it is quite a spectacular view down into the valley!
Day 2: We began with a tasting at Cosentino, followed by another tasting and a huge lunch at Michael Pozzan in Yountville, and on to Trinchero for a meeting, tasting, and finally dinner! Whew!
Days 3 and 4 will be covered in my next blog!
