Vinexpo done, more to come
The crew in front of the Cave des Producteurs in Vouvray
Vinexpo France takes place every other year in the city of Bordeaux and represents the world’s largest wine fair open to the trade.
Wineries from Europe, Asia, the Americas, etc. showcase their production to potential buyers from around the world. The direct contact with the wineries allows for good comparison of their product.
From the hundreds of wines tasted, a few dozen were retained and of those only the best quality and greatest value would make potential candidates to become a product on the wine-shelves at ABC Fine Wine & Spirits.
The Ravels, Ch Montaud, Provence
For our two-week journey, Brad Lewis, Fine Wine Director, and I, started in Northern France’s Loire Valley, followed by winery visits and tastings in Burgundy, Rhone Valley, Provence, and Languedoc and finished with 5 days at VinExpo in Bordeaux; with that our “Tour de France” was complete.
There will be a lot more to come in the next few months, information on new great wines from established partners and exciting new discoveries.
For now, signing out from Europe…
Atanas Nechkov, Wine Supervisor Central Florida
