STRAWBERRY DELIGHT!

Living in Florida provides us with local, fresh vegetables and fruit all year long.  Right now we have a new crop of strawberries, so, I picked up a quart.  For one reason or another they didn't taste like the strawberies I've had in the past.  They were a beautiful red color, but the fruity sweetness just didn't seem to be there. I decided I needed to do something with them and found a delicious, simple recipe.

Strawberries and riesling

I took 3 cups of hulled, quartered strawberries and dusted them with 3/4 cup of white sugar.  I then poured about a cup and a half of Dillman Riesling Delight over the berries, covering and refrigerating them for 2 to 3 hours. About 15 to 20 minutes before serving, I removed them from the frig.  All present loved my "Strawberry Delight".
