I always have loved the cool beer signs and pictures that hang in the bars. Sometimes you can find them for a good price, but most are a little more than you would like to spend for a picture. I decided that I should just make one myself for free...well, almost free.

I have always enjoyed making collages, so why not make a beer collage? It was real easy to save a bunch of empty 6-pack holders, however the labels were a little tougher to get off the bottles. I emailed a few beer companies and asked for some labels for my project. Most of them just wanted a self-addressed stamped envelope, which was great. A few weeks later I was able to get a pretty decent stash of labels and holders, found a big poster frame for $15 and went to work. After about an hour of cutting, gluing and arranging, my masterpiece was finally complete!

Beer companies spend a lot of time designing their labels with some really amazing artwork. To be able to put them all together in one piece is really amazing. The best part is you made it yourself and there is no wrong way--you can lay it out any way you want. You could even do a picture with just your favorite brewery's beers. I chose beers with great pictures for my collage, but my next one will be a shrine to Terrapin! Oh, and there's a bonus: You are recycling at the same time!
